Breeder Queens with VSH (Varroa Sensitive Hygienic) purchased from Glenn
Apiaries. The daughter queens we sell are open mated to help ensure they pass
on genes from winter survival stock.
The 'Pol-Line' Hygienic Italian Queens have a combination of the best traits required for pollination and high honey production. They were produced by the USDA to express Varroa Sensitive Hygienic behavior (VSH) to an optimum degree to control mites and brood disease, while maintaining a high standard of productivity. The queens major attributes are: early Spring build-up for pollination, good brood production, calm and gentle temperament, resistant to varroa/brood diseases/and tracheal mites. They are a beautiful golden yellow color.
